A Voyeur's Guide to our Week

How we divide up the schedule and how we feel about it

From Brian: I got in a little trouble at dinner the other night when out on a date with Emily. We were sitting at the bar, and the couple beside us had obviously gotten the wrong plate served to them and were talking in hushed tones about what to do about it. Through tight-jawed whispers a little spat broke out with the husband wanting to send it back and the wife not wanting to be embarrassed. I couldn’t help but lean in and listen to their back and forth. Until Emily asked if I was paying attention. She rightfully called me out for not listening to what she was saying. I apologized profusely and re-engaged in our convo, until I noticed the bartender lingering next to us, eavesdropping on our conversation. And that’s when I realized, holy moly, we love sneaking little glimpses into other people’s lives. I mean, why else would reality tv is so popular? We get a thrill out of comparing ourselves to other people’s lives and their reactions to things.

So we decided it would be fun to share the behind the scenes day-to-day rundown of what we do in a typical week. Because Lord knows we’d love to have a sneak peek into someone else’s life.
